Methodology description

The CMMS deployment strategy will be defined at project kick-off.

At project kick-off, we define a project manager who will be your single point of contact and who will support you throughout your CMMS integration. They will monitor the project from start to finish, right up to roll-out to production.

Our project approach is generally based on six ‘main’ steps.

1 / Analysis of your needs and operations

The first step in the Altair CMMS integration project will be for our team to look at your current organisation and your expectations for the project. This thought process will be recorded in a document that will be used as a guideline for the different project team members. At the end of this step, each member will know their role in the project, the tasks they will be assigned, and the different deadlines.

Once the deployment strategy has been validated by the team, we move on to the second step.

2 / Configuration support & Admin training

The preparatory analysis work is then used to support you in configuring and customising Altair Enterprise CMMS to meet your needs. We take advantage of this configuration phase, which is in a workshop format, to train you in the administration of the CMMS software. You will thus be independent afterwards and will be able to change the configuration as your procedures evolve.

3 / Data migration and/or interface deployment

Once the CMMS software has been configured and customised, your technical and history data will need to be injected into Altair Enterprise.

Customised data migration templates will be shared with you so that you can conduct your technical inventory.

We can also deploy interfaces to share information or streamline processes between the CMMS and your other software (ERP, CRM, EDM, HRIS, etc.).

4 / Key User training

The first three steps will have analysed your needs, adapted the solution to them, integrated your data and streamlined exchanges and processes between your different software packages.

The CMMS is then ready for use, but before that, we will train the key users so that they can get started with their new work tool. We provide different training materials that can be shared inside the company, especially with new arrivals.

5 / Production roll-out and change management

We’ve made it. The CMMS has been configured and your data has been uploaded into it. The users are ready and eager to use the new tool, and now it’s time to roll it out into production for daily use in the field.
When the CMMS was installed, you were provided with two environments: a test environment which was used for the preparatory work and which you will keep for your tests and improvements; and a production environment, which is your teams’ working environment.
During this phase, we can give your teams change management support.

6 / Deployment validation and closure

After a few weeks’ use of the production environment, we will be able to adjust the final customisation and configuration details before being able to validate the end of this integration project and envisage other projects based on your feedback.
Each step is tested and validated by DSDSYSTEM and your project team. This guarantees that the software is rolled out smoothly and on schedule.
